Rev. Dr. Forrest Whitman has performed weddings here in Colorado for over 25 years. He has served as minister to five churches, and excels as a minister for couples who are unaffiliated with any formal religion or who have different religious beliefs. An award winning poet and author, Rev. Whitman is a working journalist and serves as Minister of The Rollinsville Community Church and as a volunteer county mediator. A member of the Colorado Association of Professional Clergy, he is a subscriber to that code of ethics. Dr.Whitman is an active member of the Association of Bridal Consultants and has a good deal of knowledge coming from that group. He is a Gilpin County Commissioner, an experienced premarital counselor, and active in many groups which serve those in need of assistance (including the county library associaton, Elks Club, Rotary, Peak to Peak Healthy Communities, The Sextosol Center, and Ecocity) He lives with his wife, Frances, and two dogs, Luz and the puppy Ruby, in the mountains.
Educated at the University of Chicago and Oxford, he has also studied under Native American Indian and Latino teachers here and in Mexico. He is ready to assist you with your perfect wedding!
